As a former educator, LJ understands that our schools need stronger accountability and children’s educational needs must be better addressed.
No More Politics or Teaching to the Test –
LJ believes we have a duty to teach our children what they need to be successful without being guided by a political social agenda. He believes there are better ways to guide children towards success than just teaching them to pass a test.
Ready Our Students for Success –
We need to prepare our students for college or the workforce. LJ will better utilize our resources to give children an outstanding curriculum that will set them up for future success.
“As a former educator, I have the hands-on, classroom experience necessary to serve our community on our State’s most influential educational board.
Having immigrated from Jamaica, I worked hard to make my dreams a reality. I attribute a large part of my success to receiving an education without a social agenda.
Unfortunately, the ‘woke’ out of touch bureaucrats have started to wage a war on our teachers and children in the name of social justice. ‘Woke’ philosophies such as CRT have no place in our classrooms. It is time we stood up to the out-of-touch Austin bureaucrats and restore power over our children’s education to parents and teachers.
Texans should be shouting from the rooftops to stop this steamroller before they wake up to a government that dominates their lives in a country they don’t recognize.
